Hello,
I’m wondering what the best circumference dimension for my cockpit rim would be. I draw it out to my likings, small but I still can bring my knees back up. I’m planning to make the top ring out of 4 mm plywood, clued on to a build up, vertical wood strips. I made up a temporally ring to check the fit of spray covers. My friend has a medium and when we tried it out, it had a just slight lose fit. Now would be the time to make changes. I measured the outside cockpit rim’s circumference (the largest part) which came to be 78 ½”. The lip's width is going to be ¾”. What is a standard, medium spray skirt's dimensions? I prefer to use a standard spray skirt with a minimum of adjustment to make. Thanks again for any comments.
