Yakman,
First, all the big time canoe and kayak manufactureres are just like us. They build and paddle strip-built boats. It's the most cost effective way to test new hull designs. I don't think they would ask their employees to test these boats if the general consensus was that they were "weak".
Next, I don't have the time to go thru' the 80,000 or so previuos posts to verify what this guy said but if I'm not mistaken he wasn't sharing anything. He was preaching the gospel of boat building according to himself. If he found any acolytes on this BB they sure aren't spreading the gospel.
Nobody here can even remember his name so giving him attribution is an impossibilty.
Lastly, if I am lucky none of the above will be attributed to me.

: I think the "previous flamer" found 8 or 10 self reported boat
: failures during one summer.

: I think his position was that engineering analysis showed that compared to
: production boats woodstrip boats being built are simply weak.

: I think that he also shared with you how to build wood strip boats lighter
: than your wood strip boats and stronger than production boats.

: Observing the posts on this board I have noticed that many of you are
: accepting and commenting favorably on his building practices without
: attribution. All the while allowing others to slam him.
