Once epoxy has set if you subject it to temperatures around 125 F it will soften enough to break the bond. Your stuff may have "kicked" and then softened because you cooked it too long.
I hope this is not the case.

: Thanks Rob for the quick response. The yak has been in the garage with temps
: running abt 90+ /day and upper 70's-lower 80's/night. I've had no problems
: with any mix so far - I try to be very careful. I only started
: encountering the prob with the epoxy staying just barely tacky(slightly
: stick to the touch)when I applied the seam tape. Yes, I know - it makes no
: sense at all!
: And yes, I realize Fl sun cooks hotter than Ct but I do appreciate you making
: sure that I did. Thats the kind of advise that lots of people leave out
: that gets inexperienced people (like me) in trouble.
: I only wrapped it in black plastic and set it in the sun this morning(and
: keeping close watch on the temp) cause I put a 100 watt light in the
: cockpit opening the other night and left it overnight and it seemed to
: cure in the area close to the light.
: My wife and I both mixed while doing the seams and she's more careful than I
: am. I know I'm repeating myself here, but the seams are just barely tacky,
: and I do mean "barely". I just don't want to sand if its not
: fully cured - even if it means I have to wait till I get back from my
: trip!
: Thanks again Rob - I appreciate the info.
: Charles.
