You would do well to go paddle with your wife and not worry about how anyone else builds their boat..

I don't believe any evidence of any incidents of any boat failure has EVER been "scientifically" investigated and proven to be the particular construction methods done by the builder. Nor has any evidence been brought forth that the lay-up methods of any individual designer been PROVEN to be flawed.

On another note, there is no way that it could be proven that an individual followed the designers specs to the letter nor can one individual prove that he got the EXACT, IDENTICAL lay-up every time. You can go through the same procedures, but not get exactly the same results.

The "Flamer" of the past used to go to his own calculations and those of others that did not EXACTLY pertain to a boat lay-up, and there were/are other engineers that disagreed with his findings, so most of what he claimed was merely personal opinion. How better to sell your over priced boats than to show others to be "DEATH TRAPS". Duh...!!!

If you enjoy "The Flamers" methods better, go build one of his boats or better yet, buy one, then you will have the perfect boat and there will be No Problems. I'm sure you will enjoy each others company. I don't see what the problem is.

You are entitled to your opinion, you have shared it..... now move on... Nobody here is telling you to do what WE do...

Go buy or build a Flame Boat and be happy.. go paddle with your wife and enjoy life... that's what this board is all about.
When you come up with specific numbers and prood positive ( scientifically investigated ) that a design or lay-up method is flawed to the point that it will and/or has caused a total failure or the death of an idividual let us know.

If all you are talking is HE SAID, SHE SAID, THEY SAID, then take a hike ( as I believe was previously mentioned).
