After about two years of on and off working I finally have completed my Night Heron. I built the low deck version and have plenty of room for my size 11 feet and my 200+ lbs. This is the first boat that I have built, but have been kayaking for several years.
The boat is a pleasure to paddle and rolls great. It is a faster boat than boats I have paddled in the past. I spent an afternoon with a freind who just got a 22ft kevlar racing kayak, and had no problem staying with him even though he is 50lbs lighter than I am.
This board has been a great resource and thanks to everyone.
