but i guess another idea with cheapass mdf is to use a soluble glue or just send in some rot critters and then scoop the mush out. like if it's a high end plug with just a few days work on it, it could be a one off, repeated over a few times.
or if the cnc cutters are real exact,i wonder if instead of horizontal sections you had longitudinal that you could just pull apart into and out the cockpit. like if it is a true cnc cutter that can cut to any work angle, make the work angle align from distal points to the large cockpit opening. then pieces slide out from there. say ctr first etc. may have to have a few holes for the strongback.
or another idea is to just not resin one end and pull most of the mandrel out and then just a partial inner or outer.
