Thanks for the reply. Now that you mention it I used a Salamamder heater to bring the temp in the garage up to the mid to upper 50's last February when I was striping the hull. I used the Salamander to heat and bend the strips prior to gluing them to the existing one. As I recall the dozed or so staples all occured at the end of the strip or the first form (which is very tiny) and needed a little convincing to stay in place.

I could see where a heat gun would come in handy for bending and drying glue. Certainly building in warmer temps a Salamander would be too hot to use at that time. Sounds like an opportunity for a new tool don't you think?
