I took my guidance from Ted, but graphically. There's a photo of him in the Pygmy catalog standing next to his AT17 on end. This view told me (1) I'm about Ted's size, and (2) where to put the thigh braces. I crudely "lofted" measurements from the photo and the placement turned out to be perfect, but I did have to shave down the minicell a bit, especially on the aft end. As supplied, it's very thick.

Make sure you get the best epoxy bond possible between the braces and the hull, you may inadvertantly put a lot of pressure on a brace during a clumsy reentry or shoulder carry.
