You're also within driving distance of Boulter Plywood in Somerville. They also deliver. Call and see what they have. I got some nice Spanish Cedar from them, and am mixing it with (yep) poplar on the boat I'm building. The poplar is easy to work, and personally, I don't think the amount I'm mixing in is going to affect that weight all that much. I'm using it pretty much for the bottom of the hull.
