I had several failures at SSTIKS, and the humidity and hot sun were factors. I also had used mahogany hooks. He failure happend at the bond, not in the wood. Ive changed out the ones that failed, redisigning the hold downs in the boat and the hooks on the front hatch. Some of the od ones are still working, so I figure Ill use em till they pop. I also went to a lighter bungee, so theres less tention on them.
