Fishing from a kayak is great fun. When you get a fish on and the wind blows up and starts taking you towards shore or towards a rapid it is kind of like juggling while jumping on a pogo stick...ya just don't have enough hands to go around. A throwing stick/rolling stick that can be used as a one hand paddle has proved useful. Once you get a system down it is very workable.

Do be sure and try fishing before you make any of the rod mounts etc permanent, the way I envisioned my fishing set up was very different from the way it has to be to work with my paddling position and boat setup.
