You might try putting a piece of the test wood in the back window of your car where it will be subject to intense heat and sun, or in a south-facing window. I've done that with padauk to "tune" the shade of brown to my liking. I've not investigated the fade properties of zebrawood, was just impressed by it's weight and apparent strength. Might be a good wood for bow and stern laminations. Sure has a wild grain.
