I live right on Lake erie and I am about a 1 hour drive from a small lake in Jamestown Ny that I have fished from age 9 on. So fishing the shore line of lake Erie and Lake Chautauqua for Bass and Crappie, maybe a walleye or 2 as well. There is a boat launch 1/2 a mile from my house but there is a small channel with some turns in it to get out to the lake, so i would want a rudder.. There are a lot of small 12 to 18 foot fishing boats leaving and comeing. there is plenty of room for 1 to come and go at same time but i still would want to have rudder controll and the ability to turn quick if need be.. On Lake Chautauqua there is a public boat ramp with a 5 mile row of where ever you want to fish. All small fresh water fishing.. Trout, salman, bass, crapie, perch and things of the like and I seldom keep what I catch..

Want to build a Stick for sure. Yeah would be easyer for sure to fish out of a sit on top model. But the stick-built will let me be out there fishing in colder weather. All the gear would be removeable so I can use it for fun and sport. Like I said above.. Something that has the ability to be rolled yet be stable enough for me to be confortable with mounting some $400 worth of non-water proof electronics to when i am fishing, would really fit the bill..

I am 5foot 5in tall, weigh 140lbs and would want to be able to handle at least 50lbs of gear i would think. Granted 50 seems heavy but with a sealed lead acid battery to power the electronics, other gear and perhaps a trolling moter its got to be close.. The Guillemot Exepedition single is what i have been thinking of, would like other recomendations as well, and perhaps a link for ordering plans and such...

Thanks..

Mike
