Tony, I'm not too sure the oak will take the bend. It may, but ash is just about guaranteed. Oh well, I suppose if you rip the strips thin enough... Any good lumberyard, and even a few sorry ones, ought to have some ash planks laying around.

I got away with three laminations on my cockpit lips, each layer being almost 3/16" thick. Again, I chose ash specifically because it bends nicely.
