I live in Washington near the Canadian border and cross frequently with no hassle so far.

Took the new King on the ferry to Sydney BC yesterday and cleared imigration and customs smoothly. My paddling partner is retired from the border patrol so the chatting turned casual.
Things got a lot more interesting for us clearing back into the U.S. at Roche Harbor on San Juan Island. We had to get out of the kayaks onto a high dock and then lift the kayaks out and pull all of the gear out so they could search the bags. I found it amusing and should have some great photos to post soon.

Anyway that was the high point of our international travels. Nice 42 mile trip Sydney to Anacortes with great weather.

Anyway back on topic, I figure if there is a problem it is theirs and they can tell me what to do next.
