Hello Dave,

I am glad I could help. Might I suggest you consider getting the rudder system and then just carving a wood blade? It would be very easy to do. The blade has a hollow in it for the spring, and a few holes for a downhaul, and the rest is just a piece of plastic shaped like a foil. I was considering carving my own blade, but right now I've got lots of paddling to do. You could even make the box fairly easily. Just a thought. I'm still very very pleased with it as is, and before I do any more to this yak I want to start on a SOF.
