Bike cable housing is not stainless
In Response To: Material: rudder cable source (Mark Rakestraw in upstate NY)
There have been stainless housings on the market, but I don't know if they will hold up to salt water immersion. Besides, a kayak rudder doesn't need special housing. You can get suitable plastic tubing (nylon, polyethylene) at hardware stores and home centers.
