I would like to build a Folbot Aleut size SOF non folder. I am thinking 3/4" plywood frames and the clearest strip lumber I can find locally- seems to be 1 1/2"x 3/4 or 5/8" moulding strips at local home depot. What is your all opinion on using that for my stringers and keel ? I am 5'9", 170 #, since I'm 69 lighter is better. Just for recreational paddling.
