Greetings,

it's 3:00 AM but we just finished assembling the last items in the two kayaks my wife and I are planning to launch tomorrow, an Arctic Tern 14 and an Arctic Tern 17. The last 5 months have been very busy, specially the last 3 weeks, and I'm glad the end results are actually so good :-) (well, I'm the builder and the client, so I cannot be too demanding, right ?)

We haven't yet varnished the kayaks or installed the deck lines (we'll do this tomorrow after the launch and the varnish will be done in a month), but we couldn't delay the launch anymore (next weekend we're going to Door County, WI with 12 other kayakers, and in 3 weeks we have a trip to the Apostle Islands, so we need to start testing the boats).

I'm attaching a picture of the kayaks, in the basement, ready to be pulled out and driven to the lake (in exactly 12 hours). I've also uploaded the latest pictures to the webpage (warning, 18 pages so far, no comments yet)

Oh yeah, we also got some champagne for the occasion (traditions must be followed).

Hugo
