Thanks to all of you that responded to my question regarding travelling across the border with home built boats. I guess I will not be overly concerned with the issue, just take a few photos with me of the work in progress.

Shawn: I trust you knew that the 3rd boat was not on the roof or did you leave it on the beach in Vancouver ?

I will have to review the Coast Guard data again on how to aquire the HIN.

Rod: My impression from reading the form is that I generate my own HIN and just supply the data to the Coast Guard. Have I got that right?
