There are all too few of these boats left and not enough being built. Canvas and paint will last as long as fiberglass and IMO look one hell of a lot better five years down the road. Last week I paddled the canoe I learned how to paddle in over 40 years ago, it needs a bit of work but the canvas is still good, and its not near ready for a re-build or a re-store. Damm I want that boat. Wouldn't give ten cents for it if it was glassed.
