: Hugo,

: Your boats look great. You live in Chicago? I just moved to Milwaukee and am
: looking for some good places to paddle my Guillemot 17 (which I finished
: last month). If you (or anyone else) has any ideas, please let me know.

: Thanks,

: Mike

The Apostle Islands are great. (Although still a good drive from Milwaukee). Similarly, Isle Royale is magnificent although the logistics of the ferry ride make it a little more difficult to access.(FWIW, it's the least-visited National Park with thriving moose and wolf populations) For day trips, check some of the local put-in spots along Lake Michigan. Of course there are plenty of small, inland lakes in the area - but they tend to get old in a hurry - not to mention ski boat traffic.
