: Take it slow and the glass will creep with the stress,a hot day

Creep is one of the negatives I read about in the composite book. It is one of the reasons they use so much plwood in glass ski boat. They recomended the way to tune up the Long Ez home built airplanes is to put a 2x4 spreader between the fixed glass wheel struts on the black asphalt runway. It is the reason most homebuilt are white.The engine vibration also plays a part in the equation,do you have a Kazoo to hum a few songs;)
I seem to remember about a 1/4"per side was out on the Guillemont and we tweeked it in a day.just do a little at a time and don't force it. Listen for the glass talking,it should not. It seems like our hull was at least that long in cureing.We glassed the hull then did the deck so felt the hull pulled in after we took it off the forms.
I have this vision of miles of tape when joining the G17,the Artic Tern we used clamps on the bow and stern with the tape. The AT 17 does not call for glass on the insidehull above the chine so it was easier to move around to make the edges mate. We had to pry some edges with a thin blade to make them line up .
