Grant,

I also found the selective use of reinforced packing tape on the deck to help compress it a bit to be very helpful. I found that the deck sagged a bit while off the forms. I used that fiber reinfoced packing tape to bring the deck back into shape while it was off and even when I was putting the deck on the hull I was able to leave that tape on until after the fillets were cured. Between spreaders in the hull and tape for the deck I was able to align things with no problems.
