Saw horses, table legs, replace that rotted colum on the porch (may not match), or make a potato gun for odd shaped potatoes.
I like the let a neighbor store it idea, but talk a neighbor into building a kayak in order to store it. That way you have another person to kayak with and by the time he or she is finished it will be time for you to build another.
Main thing, recycle it. It's good product that can have a purpose.
I bet you will need to use it again (as a strongback) within the next year-and-a-half. Building can be addictive.
