On my Outer Island ... I stripped and faired the whole thing ... slightly split the seam ... then glassed the deck exterior and pulled it off ... and then remounted and glassed the hull exterior. My only concern would be ... if you glass the hull first and then STRIP the deck ... how are you gonna easily get a fair surface at the seam?
