If the lows are too noticeable, take the boat out and put a few scratches in it. Then they wont seem so bad. This is my standard procedure
: I would not recommend adding strips over strips, unless you were going to
: paint the hull. Wherever the new top strips end and you sand flush, a glue
: joint line will be quite visible even if you used epoxy. (never use
: carpenters glue for a lamination like that).
: The small inditations will not be that noticable once it's varnished with
: deck lines put on etc. Due the best you can to make it fair without
: getting too thin and go to the finishing stage of glass and varnish.
: Everyone learns a few of these little lessons about fairing and stripping
: on their first boat and that's what pushes us ahead to make better ones.
: My first stripper had some uneveness too and nobody noticed it and the
: person who bought it thought it was fabulous and still loves it. All
: builders know where they have a little problem area. The experienced ones
: know how to keep it a secret.
