I'm thinking you'll find tea to be a very weak stain. After it's fully dry I don't think it'll cause any problems with the epoxy...though like the other guys say...I'd test it first. There are many organic materials that make good stains and dyes. Some are available commercialy. One of my favorite is green pecan hulls. Now that is some good stain.
