Material: Storing Copier Toner

Hello, folks. I busted open some damaged toner cartridges and got the toner out for using as a colorant in things like the hatch lips.
How do you store it? My understanding is that the stuff reacts to heat and light. So, I currently have it in the fridge to combat heat. It's in zip lock bags now, but I intend to encase them in something else to block light. But, do they react to light itself, or the heat from light?
Anyway, what's the proper storage method for toner?
