Hello Rick:

I work with the stuff all day long. It melts at well over room temp. 2-400 deg f. Just keep it cool and dry. The fridge is overkill. I would keep it in a plastic bag then put the bag in a plastic container. Like the other poster said, the biggest problem will be the mess.
