the extrahole size depends on how wavey or imperfect the strongback is. So far i have used betw 1/8 to 3/16 in oversize all around for the hole as i'm a not a great s/b builder(large for long s/b's, small for shorts). for cutting holes larger for forms that touch, a pruning saw is ok - jam it in the slot betw. s/b and form and saw back and forth.

the trick is to evaluate the s/b before stringing on the forms. lay down a string or eyeball to see how it bends,waves or twists and start the first form with this in mind of how all the rest will thread on. like if it curves down in ctr start the first low ,knowing that the middle forms will be moving relatively upward on the s/b. and then lower toward the opp end. etc, etc.
