Where are you located? Perhaps there is someone in your area that has built one that you could look at and maybe paddle. A friend of mine is putting the finishing touches on one and it is a very pretty boat. Haven't paddled it yet, so I can't help you with performance info, but the boat went together well, with no major problems, and it is the builders first woodworking project, let alone his first boat.
