: the forms. One down the center (keel) line. and one down each side and
: tweek the forms to get a fair looking boat. Just fix any dips or bulges
: that don't seem fair and that's it.

Laying temporary strips down the shear and keel really helped my alignment process, too. Forms that needed adjusting almost self-corrected when I unscrewed them from the strongback and allowed them to temporarily "float" between two good forms.
