if your strongback is fairly rockered, you can have wonderful fair keel/sheer lines but never know the yak is not aligned. (exaggerating a bit, i'm sure there you would be dble checking) but like think of a 18' spine/formset initially supported 4' from ea end.

if that means the strongback or armature dwg can be 1/16 off, then the hole size at 1/16 larger would not allow any correction for s/b discrapancies. 1/8" probably minimum.

on the very few that i've strung, large holes makes it easy to move the forms around to get them where i want. And my s/b deviates more than 1/16" over 15'(even has some twist).
