: Just curious: What tire size are you using? How many and what type of miles
: did you put on them?

I had the small size 4.8 x 8" tires - maybe 3000 miles in 3 years of short trips. I live 1 mile from the launch ramp and did only a few long out of town trips. Due to storage problems, The trailer sat outside for a full year, which may have contributed to the bearing failure. The dust cap was missing when I found the bad bearing so I'm not sure if the cap fell off and lost the grease, causing failure or if the bad bearing caused the cap to fall off. Luckily we found the problem at the end of a trip and did not have to leave the trailer along the highway. I plan on paying alot closer attention in the future.
