Thanks for the info. I have the trailer myself, but have yet to retro fit it for kayaks. On the recommendation of others, I did upgrade to 12" tires after buying it. I was able to get rims and tires that fit the axle at our local tire store for about $50, I think. HF now offers the 12" tires as an option too. I'll keep an eye on the bearings anyway, though. We are most likely to use the trailer on long hauls where it will matter a lot! :-)
