I tried using Excel at first, but couldn't find any scaling function for the plots to be done correctly.
With visio, if you make a zero point, then go to tools/macros, adn run the move shape macro and click the Duplicate box, you can put points where they are supposed to be (hit the apply key, and you can quickly do the next point without closing the macro). I double checked the measurements after printing, and they were exact. granted, it wasn't as straight forward as typing in the x's and y's and saying "Go", but it worked nonetheless.
Also, I noticed the error on the trig functions in Nick's book, emailed him about it, and he didn't think it was wrong. Maybe if we get Good Will Hunting in here, he can set him straight...
