I use Gorilla a lot in my paddles, and System THree PG-101 too. It likes high clamp pressures, but forms a nice strong bond and sands easily. It also scrapes nicely. AS far as gap-filling, it will expand to fill but is not a structural bond then. Id use epoxy for gap filling. For scarfs, Id clamp then seperatly, not on the boat.

: Does anyone have experience with Gorilla glue for scarfs? It claims to be the
: strongest would glue there is. Or is it better to just stick with Elmers
