Carpenters glue on scarfs is stronger than the wood itself and you're just wasting time and money on G for scarfs. Gorilla is a good epoxy substitute for areas that may come into water contact like Greenland paddles or skin on frame kayaks etc.

By the way, Home Depot, Wall Mart sells the Elmers Polyurethane glue which is the same a Gorilla for less than half the cost.
