I agree Paul, I just downloaded the Chuck Holst's plans. I'm going to stop probably tomorrow morning and pick up a 2x4 piece of western red cedar or douglas fir and give it a shot this weekend. Maybe in the meantime, my paddle will show up. Maybe someone thought it was lonely or something... who knows. One can always hope.

In the meantime, greenland paddling is in my future. I like that better than missing the fall paddling season waiting to buy a new paddle.

Thanks to everyone who posted so far, it's interesting to see what others are using.
