Strip: Putting in place Seats and bulkheads

"Hey". Recent posts about seats started me thinking about mine, and that led to bulkheads. For reference, I'm building Jay's Outer Island.

How flexible is mini-cell foam? I'd like the seat to be wider than the cockpit coaming, and I built hip braces with glassed wood strips that extend down from the deck a few inches (4, if memory serves me). Will I be able to flex the edges of the seat to get it through the coaming and under the braces, or am I going to need to install the seat before I join the deck and hull and do the seams?

Which leads me to bulkheads. I am going to install wood bulkheads as one of the nearly last steps... after the fore foot braces, for example. Clearly, I can detach the foot peg, but the rails themselves will be mounted using the "no hole through the hull" method, so I need to mount the rails before the seams. Again, am I going to potentially have trouble getting the bulkhead past the footbrace rails, or should it slip past them without a problem if I send it down there at a slight angle then square it up once past the rails? Seems like that would be fine, but I want to ask... just in case.

Thanks,

Rick
