Sure does. I use a thumb-and-forefinger hold, and it seems about right, but I think I have my loom a little to square and that's forcing it square (otherwise it's uncomfortable in the grip.) I know, don't hang on so tight.
I may well be reaching too far foreward. My euro stroke is long - and if anything, I shortened the end rather than the beginning. It seemed like I was lifting a lot of water with the GP at the end of the stroke. The exit seemed clean, but was with the blade fairly flat to the surface. Thought that couldn't be right, so I shortened the stroke to allow a more edge-on exit.
