I know this has been asked again and again, but I have a question about what peoples experiences are with the different types of fiberglass. I want to do an expedition type layup, with 2-3 layers of glass on the hull. This will be my first experience.

I was considering using the Raka 5 oz glass, but I have heard tons of negative comments. Has anyone tried this since Larry from Raka posted his suggestions?

I would like to not have a hugely heavy boat, but still come out with great protection (as does everyone). Any suggestions or previous experience?
