I finally finished the One Ocean Kayaks' Cirrus that I started last December. This is my first attempt at building a kayak and it was great fun. I learned a lot about epoxy and fiberglass. Thanks to Vaclav for this neat design and to all the posters on this board who seemed to anticipate my problems and post answers before I asked the questions.

The boat paddles very nicely and tracks very strong and straight. Even with my 6'2" and 260lb body in it, it handles easily. I built it out of 4mm okoume and 6oz glass on the exterior and 4oz on the interior. The coaming is carbon fiber using Vaclav's method of construction. Finished weight is 42lb.

I am a novice paddler and have a lot to learn but am looking forward to the experience. The only downside is I waited until I was 65 to get started.
