: Hi All,

: I've got a problem. I just started stripping the hull of my guillemot. I'm
: approximately 6" from the sheer line. I'm using 1/2" C&B strips.
: The problem is that at the ends(last four forms on each end), the strips
: have pulled away from the forms. The first three inches up from the sheer
: line weren't a problem. I wish I could post a picture but I don't have a
: digital camera. Is there a way to fix this without removing these last
: five strips where they have pulled away from the forms?

Hi Quentin
Some more advice as I haven't seen this given yet. I went stapleless, but have managed to avoid this problem using 15 metres of shock cord (bungee). I wound the cord around the side to pull the strip down and then went over to the other side and did the same, then back to the first side all the while pulling the cord tight. This held them onto the forms. Once the glue dried they kept their place. I did this down the whole length of the boat. However, every four or so strips I put some hot glue in the right angle between form and strip. Put a piece of plastic under the cord where it crosses the glue line, else it will glue to the wood as I discovered. This saves on clamps and on time. I hope you resolve your problem.
