Keep the brace in while you glass it, or at least set in the brace as soon as possible after applying the resin, and certainly before the resin hardens.

If you have the correct shape (thanks to the brace) before the resin hardens then the fiberglass will help to maintain the correct shape. That will add strength to the boat.

On the other hand, if you wait until the resin is hard then your brace will be fighting against two forces when it tries to correct the curve in your dimpled areas: 1) the pressure from the wood, and 2) the strength of the glass.

Since you have already dry fit the braces it should be a snap to insert them right after coating the glass cloth. The resin will glue them in place, and you'll be able to correct any bunching of the fabric with your squeegee. If you don't want the braces glued in place, wrap them with saran wrap before installing them.
