The link will take you to my latest project - the second one I've done with magnets. I have glass over both the lid magnets and the lip magnets this time - a total of 9 oz - .75 & 3.25 oz glass plus a layer of 5 oz. carbon fiber. I continue to get reactions to how well they hold. I'm using 1/2" x 1/8" rare earth magnets from Lee Valley. Hope that helps.
