Sorry I didn’t respond to your post earlier. Just got back from the Newfound Woodworks sponsored Newfound Rendezvous in Bristol New Hampshire. Talk about being a kid in a candy store. So many boats so little time….

Anyway, my friend Geoff and I built two Solace 16XLs this past winter and since our launch in June we haven’t been able to stay out of them. They are everything the manufacture says of them; ‘they handle like a sports car and carry a load like a pick-up truck.’ We like to camp out of them and fish so we wanted a stable, fast design that could be packed with gear. They fit the bill. I am personally 6’-0” and 180lbs with an 11½ shoe size. The high volume foredeck gives ample room for large feet.

I was amazed how many people at the rendezvous never heard of Waters Dancing. Got a lot of positive feedback and I think a lot of first time stitch and gluers that came are going to look hard at this company.

I was flabbergasted when I revisited the Waters Dancing site and saw that they used my construction and launch pictures on the Solace 16Xl page.
