: Looking for information on spoke shavers or draw blades? Which one? web site
: search shows many different kinds. Anyone have a preference on which one
: to buy, looking forward to make some Greenland paddles. Thanks

I bought a simple spoke shave to build my GP and I didn't need anything else but sandpaper and a coping saw. It's a bit tedious taking off the big parts but it was good practice for me to get the feel of the tool and adjustments and the wood grain before I got to where the last strokes counted.

I'll also echo the sentiment about how nice it is to work with wood with the radio down low and no power tools screaming in your ears. Just those nice soft curly shavings piling up around your ankles!
