I saw my first wooden Kayak while paddling the upper Missouri river and decided right then and there I would have to build one. Incidentally the Kayak was an Osprey Double powered by non other then John Lockwood and his daughter who was about six years old at the time. We shared a camp site with John and his daughter and I started asking John about his boat. John politely answered my questions but it was obvious he was on vacation and not selling boats so I held back most of my questions. It took me several years to get around to building my boat (an Arctic Tern Hi) but just last week she made her maiden voyage down the upper Missouri in Montana. So what do you name a Missouri river Kayak?
Mo Tern of course. OK you can all stop laughing now. .
